Hardaway's Mykel Williams Flips To Georgia, De-Commits From USC Trojans
On Wednesday, the Georgia Bulldogs landed another top ranked recruit out of the class of 2022 when Hardaway’s defensive end, Mykel Williams, announced that he would be de-committing for the University of Southern California and committing to the Bulldogs. Williams, ranked the No. 50 recruit in the nation, had committed to the Trojans back in June, however, since making his decision, the Trojans have fired then head coach, Clay Helton, and whether or not that was a factor in Williams’ decision is unknown.
What is known, that the 6-foot-5, 245 pound Williams had recently visited Georgia, as well as Auburn and Florida and on Wednesday, he took to Twitter to announce his decision to flip to his home state and the Kirby Smart lead Bulldogs. “After a lot of thought, prayer and tough conversations, I’ve decided to de-commit from the University of Southern California and pursue my dreams at the University of Georgia #GODAWGS” Williams tweeted.
