Georgia High School Association Hoping For Sports Activity To Return In June

On Wednesday, the executive director of the Georgia High School association, Dr. Robin Hines, provided an update on a possible return time frame for sports activities. In a statement released by Hines, he stated that the GHSA staff is "hopeful" that high school sports activities could return in June, however, Dr. Hines made it clear that no decision has been made on activity resuming in June, stating, "all the information needed to make such a decision" has not been made available to GHSA as of now. Dr. Hines added that any return to activity would have to include "social distancing, reduced numbers of athletes and coaches per session, disinfecting facilities, and standard hygiene packages."
