32 Georgia High School Hoopers Make 2021 McDonald's All-American Nominees List
On Wednesday, the 2021 McDonald’s All-American list of 700 plus nominees was released and 32 high school players from Georgia were among those nominated, 20 girls players and 12 boys players. On the girls list, Hebron Christian Academy led the way with four players, Nicole Azar, Carley Fahey, Malia Fisher, and Carly Heidger, being nominated. Collins Hill had the second most players nominated in Sacha Washington, Eden Sample and Jaliah Clark-Jones. On the boys side, Pace Academy landed three players, Matthew Cleveland, Cole Middleton, and Maddison Durr, to the list of nominees while Heritage (Conyers) had two players, RJ Noord and James White, be nominated.
The final rosters for the 2021 McDonald’s All-American game will be announced later this month, however, it was also announced on Wednesday that the 44th annual event will not feature a physical competition with the final list of players due to COVID-19 for the second consecutive year. In their press released on Wednesday, the McDonald’s Company stated that the “difficult” decision to forego the game came after consulting with health and safety experts. Last year’s game was set to be held in Houston, Texas. This year’s event will be a virtual celebration of the final rosters. See the list of Georgia nominees below.
