NFHS Releases Suggested Guidelines For High School Sports Activities To Resume
On Tuesday, the National Federation of State High School Associations, which is the national governing body of high school sports, released phased guidelines that schools should implement in order for sports activities to resume. Dr. Karissa Niehoff said in a statement that the guidelines should be "considered" by states along with consultation from local and state health departments as they look to return to activity. The guidelines come in a three phase format, listing low risk, moderate risk and high risk sports to contracting COVID-19 with low risk sports, such as individual running events, individual swimming and golf, being able to return first and high risk, football, boys lacrosse, and wrestling, last.
