As the start of the 2025 high school football season nears, some of the nation's top recruits from the class of 2026 are making their decisions on where they will look to continue their academic and athletic careers and on Sunday, Woodward Academy's Blake Stewart, who was down to his final four schools, announced his commitment to Clemson, hundreds of family and friends in attendance.
"It feels good to get everything out of the way and it was definitely a blessing to have all these options," Stewart said of choosing Clemson over Michigan, Vanderbilt and Miami. "Clemson was the best fit for me," Stewart added in regards to his decision to commit to the Dabo Sweeney led Tigers, who have been no strangers to picking some of their best defensive back out of Georgia.
Stewart, a four-star recruit in 247Sports Composite Recruiting rankings, is considered the 24th best safety in the class of 2026 and the 34th recruit nationally and makes the third safety of the class to commit to the Tigers. "It means a lot having this much love and support around me. Let's me know I have true friends and good family," Stewart said of those who were in attendance of his announcement.
