Douglas County tops GHSF Daily 6A preseason honors

On Monday, Georgia High School Football Daily released the first of its preseason honors with the reveal of the Georgia High School Association Class 6A preseason All-State team, with the Douglas County Tigers leading the way with four players named to the list.
Senior wide receivers, Aaron Gregory, a Texas A&M commit, and Devin Carter, a Florida State commit, along with defensive lineman, Jordan Carter, who is also commited to Texas A&M, and defensive back, Jamar Owens, an Indiana commit, reprsent the Tigers on the GHSF Daily preseason list and look to lead Douglas County to the program's first state title since 1964.
Having reached the semifinals each of the past two seasons, the returns of Carter, who finished the 2024 season with 669 receiving yards and five touchdowns, and Gregory, who contributed with 914 yards and nine touchdowns, the Tigers' offense may posses one of the most talented wide receiver tandems in the state.
And running back Zamarcus Lindley, who rushed for 1,224 yards and 14 touchdowns, in the back field and quarterback, Mike Johnson, who through for 2700 yards and 24 touchdowns last season, taking over under center the Douglas County offense is poised for a highly productive season.
