Arabia Mountain Holds Off Mays In Preseason Hoops Action

On Tuesday, the Mays Raiders boy's basketball team hosted the Arabia Mountain Rams in preseason action. The scrimmage had all the energy of a regular season game as both teams came out fast paced after the tip. In the first quarter, the Raiders would get a couple of three point baskets from Kymiest Johnson and Saulamon Evans that would energize the crowd, but after trailing 7-4, the Rams would outscore the Raiders 6-3 to tie the game towards the end of the opening quarter.
In the second quarter, Mays would go up by as many as six when they took a 18-12 lead, but once again, the Rams would go on another run outscoring the Raiders 16-6 to take a 28-24 lead into the locker room at the half. Arabia Mountain would go on to pick up the 51-44 preseason win. Watch highlights from the game below now!
