PSN Spotlight: Fayette County Tigers Defense Camp

When it comes to sports, just about every coach will tell you that defense wins games. Of course, you'll need your offense to produce points, but if your defense cannot stop your opponent, well there is a good chance you may lose the contest.

The "defense wins games" motto is one the new Fayette County Tigers football Head Coach Nick Davis believes in firmly. So much so that about eight years ago, he and McEachern new Head Coach Franklin Stephens were part of a group of coaches that started defensive camps to rival the long standing seven on seven camps for skill positions and to give defensive linemen an opportunity to get some work in over the summer.

As Davis embarks on a new journey with the Tigers, he did not hesitate to bring one of his old traditions with him, introducing the Fayette program to their first defense camp as host. Davis hopes this is just one element that will help change the culture of football within the Tigers program and put them on track to becoming a contender for state title runs.
