Indians Off To 2-0 Start As McEachern Defeats Westlake 71-65 In Hawks-Naismith Tip Off Classic

Coming off their 75-72 win over the Anthony Edwards led Holy Spirit Prep, the McEachern Indians had to face Chase Hunter and the Westlake Lions in the Atlanta Hawks Naismith Tip Off Classic. The Indians would start the game on a 7-0 run but Westlake would then go on an 8-2 run of their own to cut the McEachern lead to 9-8.

In the second quarter, the Indians would gain momentum and outscore Westlake 25-13 and take a 36-21 lead into the locker room at the half. In the third quarter, the Lions would come out more aggressive as McEachern would only outscore them 21-19, however the early deficit would see Westlake still trailing 57-40 heading into the fourth quarter.
