Raiders Ground Eagles, Mays Defeats Green Forest 61-38 In The Dream Challenge

On Monday, some of the top teams from around the state of Georgia made their way to Morehouse College to participate in the Dream Challenge high school basketball classic. One of the featured games included the Mays Raiders facing off against two time defending Georgia High School Association 1A private state champions, the Green Forest Eagles.

In the first few minutes of the opening quarter, the two teams would exchange baskets to keep even with one another, but after taking a 7-5 lead courtesy of a three point basket by Antonio Taylor, the Raiders would begin to take control as they would close out the first half with a 30-20 lead.

In the third quarter, the Eagles would cut the Raiders lead down to five as they trailed 32-27, but a 6-0 run would put Mays back up by 11 as they took a 38-27 lead following a monster dunk by Horace Wyatt. In the fourth quarter it would be all Mays as the Raiders would pick up the win by a final score of 61-38. Watch highlights of the game below now!
