The finish would also be an in season best for Sergile, who said that although he was looking to finish with a good time, he surprised himself a bit with the finish.

“It was definitely a big accomplishment for me, coming off a tough winter training cycle, it really means a lot,” Sergile said following his 200 freestyle win, adding, “I wasn’t really expecting to go that time, but super glad I could get it done”. Another meet record that was broken was in the boys 200 individual medley in which Alpharetta’s Thomas Xiao set a new time with his first place finish of 1:54.13. In the end, Johns Creek would defend their title, winning the combined meet as their boys placed first and girls finished second behind Cambridge.
