Saints March To GHSA Semi's For Fifth Straight Season, Defeats Peach County 36-3


On Friday, the Cedar Grove Saints hosted the Peach County Trojans in a rematch of the 2018 Georgia High School Association Class 3A state championship game in which the Saints picked up the 14-13 win. The Trojans would strike first with a field goal to take a 3-0 lead in the first quarter, but the Saints would respond with a touchdown pass from Austin Smith to Rashad Dubinion and take a 7-3 lead.

Afterwards, the Cedar Grove defense would come up big with a fumble recovery for a 60 yard touchdown by Jordan Grier and then a interception returned for a touchdown by defensive lineman Demarius Jackson. The Saints defense would continue to frustrate the Trojans offense the remainder of the game as Cedar Grove would go on to pick up the 36-3 win. The victory sends the Saints to the GHSA semi-finals for the fifth consecutive year. Watch highlights from the game below now!
