Earlier this week, USA Today High School Sports released it’s All-USA High School Softball Team and it was to no surprise that East Coweta’s Kelley Lynch and Wesleyan’s Jahni Kerr were named to the first team. Lynch has already been named the Gatorade Georgia and National Softball Player of the Year to cap her final high school season.

Lynch went 17-0 from the mound with a 0.27 era and only allowed 18 hits with 13 walks. Lynch was also a threat at the plate batting .436 adding three home runs and 25 RBI’s helping the East Coweta Indians go 32-2 on the season in route to capturing their second consecutive Georgia High School Association Class 7A state championship. Kerr, a rising senior and Florida State commit, ended her junior season on a 57 game hitting streak (spanning over two seasons) batting .596 this past season adding seven home runs, seven triples, and 10 doubles.

She also demonstrated speed on the bases tallying up 35 stolen bases. Kerr helped the Wolves win their second straight GHSA 1A Private state title. Joining Lynch and Kerr with second team honors is Crisp County’s Riley Blampied. Blampied, a rising senior finished the 2018-2019 season with a .671 batting average along with 17 homeruns, 16 doubles, and 47 RBI’s. Blampied only struck out three times during the season.
