Three Players With Four Goals In GAC Spartans 13-6 Win Over Riverwood In GHSA 1A-5A Lacrosse Second


As the second round of the Georgia High School Association boys lacrosse 1A-5A state playoffs began on Monday, the Greater Atlanta Christian School Spartans hosted the Riverwood Raiders.

Early on in the contest, both teams would play solid defense as they held each other to one goal a piece making it a 1-1 game at the end of the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Raiders would take a 2-1 lead but the Spartans would score four unanswered goals, including two by Connor Maxa (4 goals), to take a 5-2 lead at the half.

The third quarter would see the Spartans outscoring Riverwood 4-1 as Josh rose would score two of his four goals in the period helping the Spartans take a 9-3 lead. The fourth quarter would see GAC's Michael Malone score two of his four goals as the Spartans would go on to pick up the 13-6 win. Watch highlights from the game below now!
