St. Pius' Ian Grum Sets All-American Time In 500 Freestyle At GHSA State Championships
On Saturday, the Georgia High School Association swimming championships continued with the finals of the 1A-7A classifications. On the first half of the day, the finalist of Classes 1A-5A started the day off.
Some of the winners of the day included St. Pius' Ian Grum who set an All-American time winning the Class 4A-5A boys 500 yard freestyle in a time of 4:26.38. On the girls side of the 500 yard freestyle, Greater Atlanta Christians' Savannah Mitchell would win the 1A-3A state championship in a time of 4:56.67.
In relay competition, the Westminster Wildcats would take first in Class 1A-3A with an All-American time in the boys 200 freestyle relay in a time of 1:24.70. Watch highlights from the meet below now!
