Wheeler Wildcats Open Season With 2-1 OT Win Over North Cobb Warriors

On Tuesday, the Wheeler Wildcats Girl's soccer team hosted the North Cobb Warriors in the first game of the season for both teams. In the first half, both teams would have several shot attempts but would come up empty as the game would remain tied at the half. In the second half, it would be the Wildcats getting on the board first thanks to a Megan Day goal that would put Wheeler up 1-0.

Later in the half, the Warriors would respond and tie the game up up 1-1 after a floating goal by Malina Cagle. The second half would end with the game still tied up at 1-1 but in the overtime period, the Wildcats would score once again and win by a final of 2-1. Watch highlights from the game below now!
