Grady Boys Sweep Arabia Mountain, Girls Get 4-1 Win, Headed To Second Round of GHSA State Tennis Pla

On Tuesday, the Grady Knights hosted the Arabia Mountain Rams in the the opening round of the Georgia High School Association Class 5A State Tennis Tournament. On the boys side, the Knights would complete the sweep taking all three of the singles matches as well both doubles matches. In girls action, Arabia Mountain's Kennedy Manning would keep the Lady Knights from walking away with the sweep as she would defeat Grady's Michelle Durst 6-2, 6-2 to take the singles one match up between the two.

However, the Lady Knights would pick up wins the rest of the way including Brooke Willis' and Lily Muscarella's 6-0, 6-0 win in doubles one. Up next for the Grady boys will be the winner of Flowery Branch and Rome, while on the girls side, the Lady Knights will face the winner of Kell and Johnson-Gainesville.
