War Eagles Hold Off Knights Rally As Woodward Defeats Pace Academy 5-4

A day after losing their first match of the season, the Woodward Academy War Eagles hit the road to take on the Pace Academy Knights in hopes of bouncing back from their 6-7 pk loss to Eastside. Nick Mair would help the War Eagles get on the board first as they would take a 1-0 lead in the early part of the first half.

Woodward would score two more goals in the half and take a 3-0 lead into the locker room at the half. In the second half, the Knights would score first to make it a 3-1 game but would quickly find themselves trailing 5-1 after Woodward's Arik Duncan scored his second goal of the game.

But the Knights were not to be counted out as they would rally back with three straight goals and trail 5-4 with :51 remaining in the contest but the War Eagles would manage to hold off Pace to pick up the win. Watch highlights from the game below now!
