[Watch] Riverwood Raiders Improve To 3-0 With 14-1 Win Over North Atlanta Warriors

On Monday, the North Atlanta Lady Warriors softball team took to the field for their first game of the season as they hosted the visiting Riverwood Lady Raiders. The Raiders were looking to improve to 3-0 on the season and would make their case to do so by jumping out to an early 5-0 in the top of the first inning which included a two run RBI by first baseman, Emma Bernath.

Neither team would manage to score in the second inning but in the top of the third inning, the Raiders bats would get going again as they score two more runs and see Bernath get her second hit of the game, an RBI triple, as the Raiders would go up 7-0.

In the bottom of the third, the Warriors would get on the score board after Caroline Partlowe would connect for an RBI single with two outs but would try to advance to second base and get thrown out for the third out of the inning and the Warriors trailing 7-1.

Three more runs in the top of the fourth inning would give the Raiders a 10-1 lead and then they would add four more in the top of the fifth to take a commanding 14-1 lead and that would be the final score as Riverwood improves to 3-0 and the Warriors take a loss in their first game of the season.
