Walton Lady Raiders Open Season With 6-4 Win Over McEachern Indians

As the high school softball season officially got underway in Georgia, the Walton Lady Raiders opened the season at home as they hosted the McEachern Lady Indians. The fans were allowed on sight for the game however, school officials elected cut off bleacher seating and fans would line themselves along the outfield fence and down along the baseline side to take in the action.

The Raiders would get a huge lift in the bottom of the first inning thanks to a two run homerun by Jordan Rice as they would go on to take a 2-0 lead. In the bottom of the second, an RBI single by pitcher Casey Ehlen as well as an RBI double by Kensi Ody and another RBI double by Ava Gurule would lift the Raiders to a 5-0 run.

The Indians would stay in however as Casey would walk in three runs in the top of the third inning but Walton would manage to hold off the McEachern rally and pick up the 6-4 win. Watch highlights from the game below now!
