Lassiter Trojans Defend "The Frank" With 10-8 Win Over Walton Raiders


On Saturday, the Lassiter Trojans girls lacrosse team hosted their area rival, the Walton Raiders. Both teams came into the match up with no losses in area play, so the winner would take sole possession of first in area standings.

The Raiders would come out aggressive on the offensive end as they would take a 3-1 lead early in the first half. However, the Trojans would fight back with the help of three first half goals by Allison Mills to tie the game 4-4 at the half.

In the second half, Walton would once again have the quick starting offense as they would take a 6-4 lead, but Lassiter would score the next three goals at take their first lead of the game as they went up 7-6.

The two teams would trade goals for a second but after the Raiders made it an 8-8 game, back to back free position goals by Riley Moon and Carmella Fischer would give the Trojans a 10-8 lead which would be the final score. Watch highlights from the game below now!
