Westlake Lions Take Down Stockbridge Tigers 6-2 In Anticipated Baseball Match Up
On Monday night at Westlake High High School, home of the Lions, they hosted the Stockbridge Tigers. Many scouts were on hand to watch MLB prospect number and Stockbridge pitcher, Michael Harris, but it would be the Lions opening up the game and taking the lead after Char Reeves would steal home from first base giving Westlake a 1-0 lead.
The Lions would add to their lead scoring three more runs in the bottom of the third inning to take a 4-0 lead. Stockbridge would keep the game interesting and put some points on the board after a two run homerun by Devion Newson, which would make 4-2 game in favor of Westlake.
However, in the bottom on the fourth, Westlake would score another run on a dropped ball strike out which saw the batter being safe at first and a run scoring from third to give the Lions a 5-2 lead. The Lions would go on to win with the final score being 6-2. Watch highlights from the game below now!
