Georgia's 2017-2018 All-USA Baseball Team Announced

On Thursday, the American Family Insurance All-USA State Baseball Teams were announced with Georgia's being lead by Parkview head coach Chan Brown named coach of the year and Cartersville pitcher, Anthony Seigler named player of the year. Brown coached the Panthers to their seventh state title after they defeated Mill Creek in the Georgia High School Association Class 7A championship series. The Panthers also finished ninth in the USA Today Super 25. Seigler, helped lead the Cartersville Hurricanes to the GHSA 4A championship series and finished the year with a 0.57 ERA with with 26 strikeouts. Seigler was also a force at the plate batting .421 and driving in 34 runs. The Florida signee was drafted 23rd by the New York Yankees in the 2018 MLB Draft earlier this month.
