It's Back To Back For Pope, Greyhounds Win 2018 GHSA 6A Title

For the second year in row, the Pope Greyhounds claim the Georgia High School Association 6A State Championship as they knocked off the Allatoona Buccaneers 10-2 in game three of the best of three series. Similar to the start of game two, the Hounds would take a 2-0 lead in the top of the second inning and later take a 3-0 lead in the top of the fourth inning.

Allatoona would eventually get on the board and cut the Pope to 3-1 in the bottom of the fourth inning and trim the Hounds lead to 3-2 after scoring in the bottom of the fifth inning. However, in the top of the seventh inning, the Greyhounds would start to pull away as they scored seven more runs taking a 10-2 lead, which would be the final score as Pope claimed the 2018 GHSA 6A State Title, their fourth in school history!
