9 K's For Ollie Livingston 11-0 Win Over Maynard Jackson As Decatur Extends Win Streak To 13 Gam

With a chance to create a little more drama in the Georgia High School Association 5A Region 6 standings, the Maynard Jackson Jaguars hosted the region leading Decatur Bulldogs in a key match up for both teams. A win by the Jaguars would allow Decatur to fall into a tie with North Springs for first in the region while the Jaguars would keep pace with Riverwood and still have a shot at moving into the third and possibly second place spot in standings.

However, the Bulldogs would get a stellar performance form Ollie Livingston on the mound, who would strike out nine batters in the shutout win, and sophomore Jordan Walker and senior Jarrett Ford would have the hot bats as a three run double from Walker in the top of the third inning would give Decatur a 5-0.

And later in the top of the sixth inning, Ford would connect for a solo homerun to give the Bulldogs a 9-0 lead. Decatur would go on to win by a final score of 11-0. The win keeps the Bulldogs in the number one spot in the region standings, however North Springs would also win on Monday night and remain one game back of Decatur.
