Nate Meyer, Son of Urban Meyer, Signs Scholarship Offer From Cincinatti
On Tuesday, Nate Meyer, son of Ohio Buckeyes' head football coach, Urban Meyer, signed his scholarship offer to the University of Cincinnati. The youngest of the Meyer children, Nate originally committed to the Bearcats back in January of 2017. In his junior season at Bishop Watterson in Ohio, Meyer was named to athe all state second-team. At 6-foot-1, 195 pounds, Meyer was also a versatile infielder at Watterson, playing both third base and shortstop.
After his signing, Meyer told BishopWatterson.com "Growing up in that atmosphere, watching my dad teach this work ethic, is what I've tried to do with my life." Meyer went on to add, "I've learned leadership skills because it all happened right in front of me." Meyer will be a team captain for the Watterson baseball team in his final season with the school before heading to Cincinnati to join the Bearcats where he is believed to make an immediate impact.
