Tracy Mosley Pitches Shutout, Mundy's Mill Improves to 14-0
On Wednesday, the Mundy's Mill Lady Tigers hosted the South Atlanta Hornets and looked to continue their undefeated streak. At 7-2, the Hornets were looking to put the first blemesh on the13-0 Lady Tigers who were led by #3 Tracy Mosley on the mound. Mundy's Mill got the bats working early scoring four runs in the first inning, while South Atlanta was held scoreless after one inning. Both teams were held scoreless in the second inning but in the bottom third, after keeping the Hornets from scoring, the Lady Tigers went to work at the plate when Mosley got things going with a triple and then scoring after another triple by #25 Aliyah Murphy making it a 5-0 game.
South Atlanta was able to get out of the inning but not before Mundy's Mill tacked on another run following an RBI double by #11 Alexis Hall as the Lady Tigers went up 6-0 to end the inning. At the top of the 4th inning the Hornets were back at the plate but could not muster up any offense as Mosley continued her dominance from the mound, holding the Hornets scoreless.
The game was called in the bottom of the 4th inning after the Lady Tigers continued to add to their lead with four more runs including a pair of runs batted in by #2 Ariel Carrington making it a final score of 11-0 as the Lady Tigers improve to 14-0. On Thursday, Mundy's Mill will travel to Lithonia to face the M.L. King Jr. Lady Lions. South Atlanta will take on Therrell led by Sr. Kyah Dumas on Thursday.
