North Atlanta's Gwyneth Ferguson leads in the girls 1600M run at the APS Atlanta Track Classic

The Midtown Knights hosted the Atlanta Public Schools Atlanta Track Classic featuring the district's track and field programs, including the Washington Bulldogs, who's Amarushakur Harris had one of the best performances of the day as she won the girls 100M hurdles, 100M days, 300M hurdles and anchored the 4x100M relay team to a first place finish.

"My mindset was basically thinking, I can do this," Harris said of her finishes which included a 13.80 time in the 100M hurdles, 11.69 in 100M dash, which was a Georgia Top 25 time and 43.54 in the 300M hurdles, a USA Top 50 time and new personal record. "I just had a lot of confidence," Harris said of seeing her hard work in practice paying off on Saturday.


The North Atlanta Warriors boys and girls would win the team event.
