Milton Eagles Improve To 16-1 After 20-5 Area Win Over Cambridge

On Friday, the defending Georgia High School Association Class 7A girls lacrosse champions, the Milton Eagles hosted the Cambridge Bears in area match up in which both teams were undefeated in area play.

The Bears would strike first after a penalty against the Eagles led to a free position for Cambridge's Abby Edminsten, who would score to give the Bears the 1-0 lead. On the opposite end of the field, Milton's Bri Carrasquillo would tie the game 1-1 following a free shot for the Eagles.

The two teams would continue to trade goals in the early minutes of the first half, but after taking a 4-3 lead, Milton would quickly look like the 12 time state champions that there are outscoring the Bears 10-4 in the first half.

In the second half, the Milton defense would smother the Bears only allowing Cambridge to score one goal in the half. Offensively, the Eagles looked like a well oiled machine as they would go on to score 10 more goals in route to a 20-5 win. Watch highlights from the below now!
