MLK's Kayla Hunt Doubles Up For State At GHSA 6A Sectionals Regions 4 Thru 7

As the 2018 high school track and field season winds down, the Georgia High School Association Class 6A Sectionals for regions four through seven got underway at Lakewood Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. The day would be full of exciting and close finishes as runners qualified for state including Martin Luther King's Kayla Hunt, who won the girls 100 meter and 200 meter dashes.

Joining Hunt will be her teammates from the girls and boys 4x100 meter relay teams, in which Hunt served as an alternate for the girls team. MLK's Jhivon Wilson, Deonn Wragg, Ayonna Dennis, and members of the girls 4x400 meter relay team also made their way to state in their perspective races.

The Mays Raiders would also have a good turnout for the day placing their girls and boys 4x100 meter relay teams into state while Chloe Robinson, Thomas Dow, Tierra Edwards, and members of the girls 4x400 meter relay team will all represent Mays in state.
