Lauren Lewis Sets State and National Ranking In Girls 800M, Full Day of Speed At Atlanta Games Invit
As the track season is still fairly young, the Atlanta Games Invitational is one of the seasons early exciting meets that takes place and features over 30 track teams, including 2017 champions, the Westlake Lions and hundreds of runners from around the Atlanta Metro area.
Some of the top performances included the boys 110M Hurdles which featured the 2017 7A champion Cameron Murray, who would win the meet in a time of 14.20 and on the girls side of the event, Kylan Rice would take the top spot in a time of 14.61.
In the girls 800M, Langston Hughes' Lauren Lewis would win in a time of 2:13.34 to rank her first in Georgia and fifth in the nation. Other notable wins included Kayla Hunt in the girls 200M in 24.70, Jhivon Wilson in the boys 200M in a time of 22.43 and Kyle Harkubus in the boys 800M in a time of 1:56.38.
