Jordan Clark Rushes For 3 TD's, Sandy Creek Patriots Improve To 3-0 In 26-0 Win Over The Morrow


On Friday, the 2-0 Sandy Creek Patriots hosted the 3-0 Morrow Mustangs in high school football action as one team would walk away suffering their first loss of the season. Both teams would remain scoreless in the first quarter, but in the second quarter, on a first and goal, senior running back, Jordan Clark would rush for his first touchdown of the game giving the Patriots a 7-0 lead.

Later in the quarter, Morrow would have possession and some momentum as they drove down the field but would fail to score as Mustang quarterback, Kristopher Clark would throw his second interception of the game. On the ensuing drive for the Patriots, sophomore quarterback, Matthew Williams would lead Sandy Creek down the field and set them up in the red zone after connecting with Amin Shaheed on a pass for a first down.

The Patriots would then call on Clark, who would race in for his second touchdown of the game, giving Sandy Creek a 14-0 lead with 3:25 to go in the first half. In the second half, the Mustangs would be on another drive and Clark would once again be picked off for the third time in the contest and the Patriots take the interception back to set the Patriots up in the red zone.

After the Mustang turnover, Sandy Creek would utilize Carter one more time as he rolled in for the score and the Patriots would go up 20-0 as they failed to make good on the extra point. Sandy Creek would go on to win by a final score of 26-0 and improve to 3-0 on the season while Morrow is handed their first loss giving them a 3-1 record. The Patriots will host rival Starr's Mill who also improved to 3-0 with a 56-21 win over Chapel Hill on Friday night. Watch highlights from Sandy Creek and Morrow below now!
