Smith Jr., Johnson and Feagin Add Naismith Honors To Final High School Season

On Tuesday, the 2021 Naismith All-American Teams were announce and the Georgia high school student athletes were named to the first teams while three others earned honorable mentions. Just days ahead of the final games of their high school careers, when they take the court to play for Georgia High School Association basketball state titles, Sandy Creek’s Jabari Smith Jr., Westlake’s Raven Johnson, and Forest Park’s Sania Feagin were named to the boys and girls first teams respectively. Pace Academy’ Matt Cleveland and Kell’s Scoot Henderson earned honorable mentions on the boys side. Meanwhile, McEachern’s Jillian Hollingshead earned an honorable mention on the girls side of the honor.

Of all them, five will be playing for state titles this week as the GHSA basketball season comes to an end. It will also be the final game of their high school career for Smith Jr. Cleveland, Johnson and Feagin. For Feagin, Johnson and Smith Jr., the Naismith honors come just days after all three were named to the McDonald’s All-American Game final rosters along with Hollingshead. Henderson is the only junior out of the group.
