Sandy Creek Downs Douglass 84-34, Improves To 3-0 In Region Standings

On Friday, the Sandy Creek Patriots hosted the Douglass Astros in a region match up that would see the Patriots improve to 9-4 on the season and 3-0 in the Georgia High School Association Class 3A, region 5 standings after their 84-34 win over Douglass. The Patriots would control the game from the beginning as they got off to an 11-0 start before the Astros hit their first basket. The domination by the Patriots would impact Douglass on both ends of the court, as defensively, Sandy Creek forced several Astros' turnovers in which they would capitalize off of by scoring. Unfortunately for Douglas, the game was pretty much out of reach by the end of the second quarter as they trailed 52-11 at the half. Sandy Creek's Jabari Smith Jr. would lead all Patriots scorers with 17 points in the win. Watch highlights from the game below now!
