Knights Fend Off Bulldogs As Pace Academy Defeats Decatur 13-6

On Wednesday, the Pace Academy Knights flag football team hosted the Decatur Lady Bulldogs in an area match up with both teams coming in undefeated. The Knights would strike first afer quarterback Sydney Silverstein connected with Jamie Kornheiser for a 73 yard touchdown pass as Pace would take a 7-0 lead in the first half. Later in the half, Silverstein and Kornheiser would connect again for another touchdown and the Knights would take a 13-0 lead into the locker room at the half. Decatur would finally get on the board after quarterback Jukanie Washington would find her way into the end zone on a keeper and the Bulldogs trailed 13-6. With 10 seconds to go in the game, the Bulldogs found themselves with a first and goal and an opportunity to tie the game and when Washington once again looked to score on a keeper, Pace's Lizzy Kaye made the game saving flag pull just before Washington crossed the goal line and the Knights picked up the 13-6 win.
