The 2025-2026 Georgia High School Association flag football season will begin next week and on Saturday, Dekalb County Athletics hosted a jamboree as in which teams from the county faced off in final tune-up games.
"The main thing as that our offense was executing and our defense was very, very on point when it came to paying attention to what the other team is doing. We shut down everything," Arabia Mountain head coach Travis Copeland said after the Rams picked up a 30-0 win over Cross Keys
And while Saturday's outcomes have no impact on any of the teams' records, the jamboree offered a great opportunity for coaches to see how their teams operated in game like situations. "I'm highly impressed," Chamblee head coach, Erica Harris, said of her team's efforts in their 6-0 win over Stephenson, noting how well the Bulldogs' defense performed.
"They came out Bulldogs strong, we've been working all summer, morning practices and just to see them come out here and compete," Harris said of Chamblee's execution. "I'm very, very proud of the girls," Harris added. Chamblee opens their regular season on Wednesday when they take on Arabia Mountain and Dunwoody and Arabia Mountain also facing Dunwoody the same day.
