Sandy Creek's Jabari Smith Ranked No. 6 On 2021 ESPN 60, Pace's Matt Cleveland, Holy Innocen


This week, ESPN released their updated 2021 ESPN 60 boys basketball recruits which featured three players from Georgia. Sandy Creek's Jabari Smith came in listed as the No. 2021 recruit and to know surprise. Smith is coming off a junior season which saw him named to the 2020 Atlanta Journal Constitution All-State Class 4A Boys First Team. Smith, the No. 1 recruit in Georgia, helped the Patriots advanced to the Georgia High School association Class 4A Elite 8, but unfortunately, the Patriots lost a close one, 58-56, to eventually 4A state champs, Woodward Academy. However, Smith had a solid performance on the night scoring 25 points and adding 11 rebounds. As a sophomore, Smith won a gold medal with the USA Basketball U16 team during the FIBA Championship. Ranked No. 45 on the list is Pace Academy's Matthew Cleveland, who helped lead the Knights to the 2019-2020 GHSA 3A state championship. Cleveland was named to the AJC All-State 3A Boys First team. Cleveland recently received his latest offer from the Florida State Seminoles. And at No. 49 on the list is Chance Moore of Holy Innocents. Moore helped lead the Golden Bears to the GHSA 1A Private Elite 8 where they fell to eventual state champs, St. Francis.
