Knights Take Down Wolverines As St. Francis Defeats Walker 80-59

On Tuesday, the St. Francis Knights boys basketball team hosted the Walker Wolverines in a key region match up with the Knights looking to stay remain in a three way tie for first in region six of the Georgia High School Association, while the Wolverines would need the win to remain a game behind the region leaders. Walker would come out strong in the first quarter led by Christopher Newell (31 points) as they would take an 11-6 lead before allowing the Knights to go on a 13-6 run to take a 19-17 lead at the end of the quarter.

Walker would regain the lead in the second quarter, going up by as many as five but with Dwon Odom (22 points) leading the way for the Knights, they would go on another run and close out the second quarter with a 40-34 lead. After regaining the lead in the second quarter, St. Francis would hold onto it and go on to pick up the 80-59 win. Jusaun Holt would chip in 18 points for the Knights in the win.
