Eagles Fly High As Collins Hill Defeats Peachtree Ridge 68-46, Improves To 6-0

On Tuesday, in a region rivalry match, the Peachtree Ridge Lions hosted the Collins Hill Eagles. Both teams came into the match up with five wins on the season with the Eagles boasting no losses thus far this season, while the Lions had only one loss coming into the night.

The Eagles would come out strong as the the combination of Sacha Washington and Eden Sample would help Collins Hill open up on a 9-2 run and eventually going up by as many as 13 as they held a 19-6 lead late in the opening quarter. In the second quarter, Sample would get into foul trouble, forcing Collins Hill Head Coach Brian Harmon to put the junior on the bench for the remainder of the period and allowing the Lions to outscore the Eagles 25-11 in the second quarter to trail by six at the half.

But after Peachtree Ridge would cut the Eagles lead down to two, Collins Hill would turn up the defensive pressure which would help them open things up and go on to pick up the 68-46 win. Sacha Washington would finish with 27 points for the Eagles in the win as they improved to 6-0. Watch highlights from the game below now!
