Four Star Offensive Lineman, Tate Ratledge Commits To Own Backyard, Georgia Bulldogs
On Monday, just days after five star linebacker, Mehkail Sherman announced his commitment to Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs, four star offensive lineman, Tate Ratledge announced his commitment to stay home and play in Athens. Ratledge, an offensive tackle at Darlington School in Rome, Georgia, had received offers from just about all the SEC’s top programs and narrowed his choices to Georgia and Tennessee. However, after visiting Knoxville a couple of times, Ratledge told 247Sports, he was “still feeling Georgia, so I knew then it was where I wanted to go.” At 6-feet-6 and 308 pounds, Ratledge is ranked as the class of 2020’s No. 5 offensive tackle in the nation and the No. 39 overall prospect according to 247Sports Composite ratings.
