Cougars Defend Home Turf As Alexander Wins The Annual ALX Invitational

On Saturday, the Alexander Cougars hosted their annual ALX Invitational featuring high school wrestling teams from around the state of Georgia. It was a full day of boys and girls wrestling with notable individual wins on the boys side as host school Alexander as well as Forsyth and Dalton each had three singles championship wins.

For the Cougars, Andrew Voiles (106), Dawson Mathews (152) and Zach Loner (220) won their respective weight classes. For Forsyth, Abraham Perez (120), Branden Redecker (182) and Keaton Platzke (195) all grabbed the first place hardware. And for Dalton, they claimed first place victories thanks to Hunter Noland (126), Tyler Hunt (132) and Jaxon Wells (138). Watch highlights from the invitational below now!
