In the second round of the Georgia High School Association football state playoffs, the Parkview Panthers hosted the Archer Tigers. The Panthers came into the night undefeated with an 11-0 record while the Tigers sat at 9-2 heading into the game. After a Archer fumble and Panthers recovery, Parkview would get on the scoreboard first finishing their drive with a field goal to go up 3-0.

On the Panthers second drive of the game, the Tigers would force a fumble and recover the ball and score to take a 7-3 lead. The Tigers would respond by opening the second half with back to back touchdowns to take a 28-17 lead midway through the fourth quarter.

That would prove to be plenty of time for Parkview as they would score the next 12 points, including a 91 yard touchdown run by Cody Brown, to regain the lead 29-28 over Archer with just under two minutes remaining in the ball game. Archer's Carter Peevy would then throw a 35 yard strike to Braylen Weems setting up a first a goal and that would lead to the game winning touchdown run by Semaje Banks, who rushed for three touchdowns on the night. The Tigers would pick up the 36-29 win to advance to the third round of the GHSA 7A playoffs. Parkview's Brown also ran for three touchdowns. Watch highlights from the game below!
