McEachern Indians Girls and Boys Basketball Back In Action In Preseason Scrimmage

As the 2018-2019 Georgia High School Association basketball season gets set to begin, the McEachern Indians girls and boys basketball teams hosted scrimmages. In the first game of the night, the Lady Indians took on the defending GHSA 4A state champs, the Spalding Jaguars.

Both teams looked good throughout the game and in the fourth quarter things would remain close down to the end as the Jaguars picked up the 40-38 win. In boys action, the Indians took on the defending GHSA 5A state champs, the Miller Grove Wolverines.

Led by Auburn commit, Isaac Okoro, and Sharife Cooper, who got a stamp of approval this past summer from the Golden State Warriors' own Kevin Durant, the Indians got off to a quick start and took command early on. They would start the game with an 7-0 run and eventually find themselves up 17-2 in the first quarter. McEachern would go on to win by a final score of 86-38.
