Bulldogs Make It Three Straight Wins As Washington Rolls To 30-0 Win Over South Atlanta
Saturday night high school football action, the Washington Bulldogs and the South Atlanta Hornets classed in an important region match up. The Bulldogs, with one loss already in the loss column in region play looked to hand the the Hornets a loss in their first region game of the season.
After a slow start for both offenses, the Bulldogs would strike first on a 60 yard touchdown pass from Adrien Williams to Ronaid Mason and Washington would take a 6-0 lead. In the second quarter, Washington freshman running back, Quintavious Lockett would help get the Bulldogs' ground game going with a 35 yard touchdown run to give Washington a 12-0 lead.
Later in the second quarter, after the Bulldogs would sack South Atlanta quarterback Drew Banks on third down and force the Hornets to punt, Lockett would dominate on the ground once again, fighting off defenders, with a 65 yard touchdown run and Washington would take a 18-0 lead.
Lockett would not be finished just yet. On a second and goal for the Bulldogs, Lockett rush for his third touchdown of the game and the Bulldogs would go up 24-0 and go on to win by a final of 30-0 after another rushing touchdown by Jeffrey Powell. The win improves Washington to 3-2 overall and 1-1 in their region standings. Watch highlights from the game below now!
