Crimson Tide Land Commit From 4-Star Defensive End Byron Young

4th of July celebrations kicked off with fireworks earlier than most for the Alabama Crimson Tide as shortly after midnight Tuesday night, four star defensive end, Byron Young announced his commitment to Tuscaloosa. Young had at least 11 scholarship offers, with the Tide ranking high on his list of options since back in May. The 6-foot-4, 279 pound Young said that he ended his recruitment because he believe the Tide was the right place for him. Young is considered the nations ninth ranked defensive and Mississippi's No. 9 recruit of the class of 2019. In his junior year at West Jones in Laurel, Mississippi, Young finished with 50 tackles, 20 of those for lose, and 14 sacks. Mississippi State, Ole Miss, and Georgia were all in pursuit of the talented Young, who makes the 18th verbal pledge for Alabama from the class of 2019. Young's announcement came via Twitter.
