Chapin High Defensive Star, Will Williams Gives Verbal Commit To Baylor

This past weekend, Will Williams, a standout safety and linebacker at Chapin High School in El Paso, Texas, was in Waco, Texas for a campus visit at Baylor University and shortly following his visit, Williams gave Matt Rhule and the Bears a verbal commitment. The 6-foot-2, 190 pound Williams finished his junior season at Chapin with 97 tackles and an interception and said he looks forward to having an opportunity to play at the next level. Although, his verbal commitment is nonbinding, Williams did say that he liked the Bears program as well as the Baylor campus. "It's a family atmosphere Williams told the El Paso Times following his visit. For his final high school season, Williams plans to play the dual defensive roles once again as well as getting some work on the offensive side of the ball at wide receiver. Williams made his announcement public when he tweeted the above image along with the hashtag #sicem and a bear imoji on Tuesday.
