Newton's Ashton Hagans Possible Reclassification To Join Kentucky In 2018 May Be In The Works

A little over a month ago, we reported that five star recruit, Ashton Hagans of Newton High School in Covington, Georgia, announced his commitment to play for the Kentucky Wildcats. At the time, there was speculation as to whether or not the 6-foot-4 junior point guard would be reclassifying to join the Wildcats for the 2018 season, but not according to SEC Country's Kyle Tucker, who witnessed Hagans working out with Kentucky commit, E.J. Montgomery out of Wheeler High School, Hagans said "just be on the lookout. Tell them I'm coming soon!" Hagans told Tucker, that after seeing the players headed to Lexington for the 2018 season, he told his father that he "would love to play with each one of those guys!" Hagans' father, Marvin Hagans also spoke with SEC Country and said that the top point guard of the class of 2018 has some work to do in order to graduate this summer and that included completing four courses online, which three are already in the books. So it is without a doubt Hagans could very well be joining Kentucky in 2018 and if so, he the Wildcats will have a very impressive class coming in.
