Mississippi State Lands Four Star Defensive End Ani Izuchukwu

Wednesday night, the Mississippi State Bulldogs learned that four star defensive end Ani Izuchukwu of Nashville Davidson Academy in Nashville, Tennessee, would be committing his talents to the Bulldog’s football program. “I told Coach Moorehead that king was home, and he said welcome home king”, Izuchukwu tweeted Wednesday night, letting the world know he was headed to Starkville. The 6 foot 4, 230 pound defensive lineman had been sought after by many of the country’s top programs including Alabama, Clemson, in-state Tennessee, Michigan, Ohio State and many others. “I just really love the coaches and players there and I feel I fit in,” Izuchukwu told 247 Sports, adding “I think they are great people to be around. I know people come and go but I believe their program is good for me.” Izuchukwu also stated that seeing how Moorehead talks to his player and how the other coaches talk to the players really stood out to him. He will be making his official visit to Starkville later this month and plans to solidify his commitment in person. You can watch Izuchukwu make his decision here!
