As the Georgia High School Association Girls basketball playoffs continued, the Douglas County Lady Tigers hosted the Valdosta Lady Wildcats in a quarterfinals match up. In the early goings, Valdosta would look good and in control as they led most of the first quarter and almost half of the second quarter.

But Douglas County would go on a 8-1 run in the second period to take a 37-34 lead after back to back three point baskets by Dymon Cook and Sayah Brooks. The Lady Wildcats would later tie the game up at 40 a piece while in the second quarter, but the Tigers would score six unanswered points and take a 46-40 lead into the locker room at the half.
