Tied up at 58 a piece with seconds to go in the fourth, Jonesboro's Brandon Walker would take the would be game winning shot but come up short and the game would go into overtime. In the OT period, a crucial turnover by the Cardinals as they trailed 66-65, would lead to a foul by the Cardinals but also a technical foul on Cedar for players leaving the bench while the game was still underway.

The Saints' Blake Austin would make 1-2 free throws, while Jonesboro's Jamari smith would miss both technical shots and the Cardinals trailed 67-65 with :14 remaining in the OT period.
